Joe Biden has hampered domestic energy industry while pleading for more foreign oil .

Energy expert Dan Kish tells Fox News Digital: ‘Americans are taking it in the shorts’ under Biden.

President Biden has taken a number of steps to curb domestic fossil fuel production since taking office but has still turned to foreign dictators for oil as prices have ticked up.

The Biden administration has aggressively pushed its climate agenda, which includes a transition from fossil fuels to green energy, over its first 20 months in office. For example, it has taken aim at oil and natural gas pipelines, restrained leasing on federal lands and waters, moved forward with stringent climate disclosure rules for the private sector and introduced burdensome environmental regulations.

“Americans are taking it in the shorts because the Biden administration has basically declared war on American affordable, abundant energy,” Dan Kish, a senior fellow at free-market think tank Institute for Energy Research, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

The average price of gasoline nationwide increased to $3.87 a gallon on Thursday, extending a multi-week streak of price increases, according to AAA data. Oil prices in the U.S. and worldwide have also moved upward in recent days.

And the National Energy Assistance Directors Association projected in September that the average cost of U.S. home heating across all fuels — including gas, heating oil and propane — will spike 17.2% this winter compared to last year, forcing millions of lower-income families to choose between paying for heat, food, medicine and rent. Natural gas prices have increased to levels far higher than historic trends over the last several months.

President Biden has taken a number of steps to weaken the domestic oil and gas industry since taking office.

While the administration has sought to restrict domestic oil and gas production, it has also turned to foreign regimes led by dictators, including Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. After the Saudi-led Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced a major 2-million-barrel-per-day output cut Wednesday, Biden expressed disappointment.  

“The President is disappointed by the shortsighted decision by OPEC+ to cut production quotas while the global economy is dealing with the continued negative impact of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine,” the White House said in a statement after the announcement.

“At a time when maintaining a global supply of energy is of paramount importance, this decision will have the most negative impact on lower- and middle-income countries that are already reeling from elevated energy prices,” the statement added.

The White House urged OPEC to increase production multiple times over the last year.

In addition, Biden told reporters Thursday that he was considering “alternatives” to OPEC and didn’t rule out lifting sanctions on Venezuela’s once-booming oil industry as part of that plan. He didn’t mention domestic production as an alternative. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the administration was moving closer to announcing a deal with the South American communist government involving oil drilling.

Overall, the president has taken multiple steps throughout his tenure to follow through on his 2019 campaign pledge to “end fossil fuel” in the U.S.

“The administration continues to look elsewhere when the solution has always been here at home,” Emily Haggstrom, the vice president of communications for the Consumer Energy Alliance, told reporters during a call Thursday. “This should be a no-brainer in economics, national security and environmental terms, and we urge the Biden administration to seize this moment.”

Hours after his January 2021 inauguration, Biden issued an executive order canceling the federal permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, the proposed extension of an existing pipeline that would have transported an additional 830,000 barrels of oil from western Canada into the U.S., according to its operator, TC Energy. In the order, Biden wrote that the U.S. must “prioritize the development of a clean energy economy.”

The Biden administration has also introduced a new pipeline approval process that it said would factor in downstream greenhouse gas emissions, a rule that could represent a major hurdle for future energy infrastructure development.

Led by Biden-nominated chairman Rich Glick, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced in February that it had updated its process for green-lighting pipelines. Under the proposal, which was heavily criticized by Republicans, FERC would consider the direct and indirect impacts of greenhouse gas emissions produced by future pipelines under review.

“These policies are going to make it next to impossible to build any new natural gas infrastructure or upgrade our existing facilities in the United States,” Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., the top GOP member of the Senate Energy Committee, said in March. “These orders are going to increase the costs for American families to heat and power their homes. And they are going to undermine the reliability of our electric grid.”

Also, shortly after he took office, Biden ordered the Department of the Interior (DOI) to pause oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters. While a federal judge nixed the moratorium last year, the Biden administration has repeatedly delayed holding onshore lease sales.

The administration ultimately held its first sales in June, 18 months after taking office in 2021, leasing just 71,251 acres of public land for oil and gas drilling. By comparison, the Trump administration leased 478,420 acres of public land for drilling during its first 12 months, according to an analysis of federal data.

Domestic oil production, meanwhile, has remained level at around 12 million barrels per day, more than a million barrels less than its March 2020 pre-pandemic level, according to federal data.

AMERICANS SHOULD PREPARE FOR GAS PRICES TO KEEP RISING, ANALYSTS WARN

“He is the worst oil and gas-leasing president in history,” Kish told Fox News Digital. “He sits around complaining about the price of oil and the price of gasoline and neglects the one thing that he could do that would have a demonstrated effect.”

The DOI has also proposed an offshore leasing plan that could include at most 11 lease sales but which may also include no new lease sales through 2028. The Trump administration’s version of the plan included nearly 50 sales.

The agency has canceled a number of previously scheduled offshore lease sales in recent months.

BIDEN LOOKS EVERYWHERE TO LOWER GAS PRICES — EXCEPT BOOSTING OIL PRODUCTION

In June 2021, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland ordered a pause on all oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, reversing the previous administration’s efforts to allow some drilling in the federal refuge located in northern Alaska.

Also in Alaska, the administration backed off a drilling project last year that would have produced 100,000 barrels of oil per day, led to $10 billion in government revenue and create 2,000 construction jobs and 300 permanent jobs. The Bureau of Land Management issued a revised environmental analysis that factored in potential climate impacts of the project in July.

In another executive order, Biden ordered federal agencies to factor in the “social cost” of carbon and methane emissions when initiating environmental analysis on proposed projects. After he issued the order, 10 Republican states filed a lawsuit challenging the rule, arguing it was “an act of executive overreach that will kill thousands of jobs throughout the country [and] threatens to impose more burdens and harms on the American people.”

The Securities and Exchange Commission unveiled a rule in March that would require private corporations to disclose a wide swath of carbon emissions data and other climate information. Republicans, energy industry groups and business groups have opposed the rule, saying it would cost the private sector billions of dollars.

“We have abundant resources in America to be energy independent, secure, and to protect people[‘s] quality of life,” Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., the top Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, said in a statement Thursday.

“Turning to Venezuela or any other dictator is not acceptable to freedom-loving Americans who are suffering already under Biden’s energy and spending crises that are increasing their cost of living,” she continued. “It’s time for the President of the United States to show some leadership, and get serious about flipping the switch for more American energy .

Liz Cheney Loses Primary ,Goodbye Liz !

Wyoming and Alaska held primary elections Tuesday. Here’s a link to continually updated results of the major races.

Due to the time zones, Alaska results are still being counted as I write this. As explained at the link above, Alaska has an unusual at-large system in which the top four finishers of whichever party square off in November. So even though they did advance to the next races, it’s going to be quite a while before we know the fate of such top names as Lisa Murkowski and Sarah Palin. Not so in Wyoming.

‘You’re Fired!’

Knowing my readers as I do, you’ll probably enjoy seeing this video clip of Donald Trump on election eve, predicting correctly that Wyoming GOP voters were going to say, “Liz Cheney…You’re FIRED!”

But they didn’t just fire her, they figuratively escorted her from the building and changed the locks behind her. Wyoming will now have someone who’ll represent Wyoming and not MSNBC.

The race was called early on, but at this writing, with 99% of the vote counted, Harriet Hageman is leading Cheney by 66.33% to Cheney’s 28.94%. Any crossover Democrat votes couldn’t prevent her from suffering a more than 2-1 loss. My only disappointment is that Hageman’s margin of victory didn’t reach three digits, but I’ll happily take it.

Incidentally, if you are trying to figure out the accuracy of polls this year, the latest poll taken 10 days ago showed Hageman’s lead at 52-30%, a 22-point gap. The actual margin was over 37 points, a 15-point margin of error.

The Next Abraham Lincoln?

Cheney’s concession speech continued the type of sanctimonious self-aggrandizing we’ve come to expect from her and which has so turned off Wyoming voters. Referencing the Gettysburg Address, Cheney compared herself to Abraham Lincoln, saying,

The great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all. Lincoln ultimately prevailed, he saved our union, and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history.

Cheney said she’s “thinking about” running for President, and the media are really hawking the delusional idea of her being another Lincoln. But one commentator said she’s more likely to end up at the Lincoln Project, a disgraced organization of rabid anti-Trump grifters.

Reactions to Cheney’s Ouster

Here are some more comments on Cheney’s ouster from various pundits and political figures.

Charlie Kirk pointed out that with his strong endorsement of Hageman, “Trump has now defeated the Clinton, McCain, Bush, AND Cheney dynasties.” But my favorite quote may be from New York Rep. Claudia Tenney, who wrote,

Orchestrating show trials contrary to safeguards guaranteed by the Bill of Rights is not Lincolnesque. On the contrary, Cheney’s actions mirror precisely the authoritarianism our founders fought valiantly against.

Hear, hear! In fact, if you wonder why I’m so happy to see Cheney go, it’s actually not for the reasons the media claim Republicans turned on her. It’s not out of a blind loyalty to Trump or anger at her for bucking her own Party (I’ve been at odds with the national Party plenty of times myself.) It’s because I am fed up to my eyeballs with hearing her lecture us about how she’s safeguarding “our democracy,” and the Constitution and the “rule of law.”

Where I come from (the United States of America!), the Constitution and rule of law do not allow the creation of partisan, star chamber “investigative” committees selected in clear violation of the member requirements in the legislation that created them. Nor do we have show trials in which all the participants are radically biased against the defendants, the defendants have zero rights, no cross examinations or defense witnesses are allowed, and people who cite their legal right to executive privilege are handcuffed and arrested in public for maximum humiliation and threatened with prison sentences for contempt of Congress — a charge that is routinely brushed off in DC when Democrats like Eric Holder commit it for real.

If Rep. Cheney wants a Lincoln quote, I suggest she think about “government of the people, by the people and for the people.” Not of, by and for people who forget the voters they’re in Washington to represent and instead would rather kiss up to the DC media and power players while promoting themselves.

US Army to likely miss recruiting goal of new troops by nearly 40,000 over the next 2 years .

 The US Army is now projecting that for the next two years it will massively fail to recruit as many troops as it hoped, falling short by nearly 40,000 new recruits, according to the latest estimates and testimony from the Army’s second highest leader.

“We’ve got unprecedented challenges with both a post-Covid-19 environment and labor market, but also private competition with private companies that have changed their incentives over time,” General Joseph Martin, vice chief of staff of the Army, told the House Armed Services readiness subcommittee on Tuesday.

The Army is projecting it likely will fall short of its fiscal year 2022 recruiting goal by as many as 10,000 troops and could miss the fiscal year 2023 recruiting goal by as much as 28,000 troops, according to Army estimates.

Low unemployment has hurt the ability to recruit for some time, but the situation is growing worse with fewer Americans showing an interest in serving. There is also a decline in the number of people physically qualified. “That’s why we’ve gone from 29 to 23% of the population that is available to serve,” Martin said.

The army also believes the recruiting crisis has been exacerbated by remote schooling during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a five page memo from the two top Army leaders dated Wednesday.

“Pandemic-driven constraints like virtual learning have further limited access to the recruiting population in high schools and exacerbated a decline in academic and fitness levels,” Christine Wormuth, the civilian Secretary of the Army, and General James McConnville, the four star Chief of Staff, said in the memo. Preliminary data is suggesting remote schooling “may have lowered” scores on the armed services aptitude test by as much as 9%, according to the memo.

To get more people to join, financial incentives are being offered. The Army has also explored the idea of no longer requiring recruits to have a high school diploma, but it hasn’t settled on a final plan.

The statistics paint a grim picture. The Army is authorized to have as many as 485,000 troops for FY22, but already reduced that goal to 476,000. At best, Martin said, the Army believes it will “land at 466 for this year for an end strength,” leading to a potential shortfall of 10,000.

So far, the Army has recruited 30,000 troops in FY22 — half the 60,000 goal if the Army were to meet the 476,000 troops size. But one official told CNN that the Army no longer thinks that is possible given the challenges it faces and the 10,000 recruit shortage is a likely scenario.

For FY23, the size of the Army could further shrink to between 445,000 and 452,000, Martin indicated. The Army will try to maintain a size of 455,000, but that will also be substantially less than the original plan.

The good news for the Army is the people who are joining appear to be willing to stay.

The retention goal for FY22 was 55,900. As of July 7, the Army has already exceeded its goal by reenlisting 57,738 soldiers, according to Colonel Catherine Wilkinson, an Army spokeswoman.

She’s In Prison For Raping Two Teen Boys And She’s In Videos On TikTok Asking For Pen Pals.

There are TikTok videos from formerly incarcerated people who answer questions about what life was like behind bars.

There are TikTok videos that get millions of views by showing people’s courtroom reactions as they’re sentenced to prison.

And then there are TikTok videos from people actually inside prison right now.

#PrisonTok can be a force for good, whether by shining light on inhumane conditions or by simply engaging a curious public with the realities of the criminal justice system. But in recent days, it has been receiving new and darker attention following a story from the Idaho Statesman newspaper published on Friday about one local incarcerated person’s new TikTok account.

Miriah Vanlith, 43, went viral on the platform when she appeared in a video asking for people to write to her at the South Idaho Correctional Institution near Boise.

Vanlith was convicted in 2019 of raping two teenage boys, enticing children over the internet, and distributing a controlled substance to a minor. She raped one 14-year-old boy in 2018 while out on bond for having sexually abused a 15-year-old boy and raping a 17-year-old boy the year before. (The charges related to the 15-year-old were dropped as part of a guilty plea deal.) Prison records show she won’t be eligible for parole until 2028.

People in prison don’t have standard access to the internet, but using a for-profit communications platform called JPay, Vanlith was able to send a video message to someone on the outside, who then posted the clips to a TikTok account on her behalf and in her name.

That’s where one video blew up and received more than 3 million views. The Vanlith account soon had more than 33,000 followers — and has since been shut down. A TikTok spokesperson told BuzzFeed News the account was removed for violating community guidelines, which state, “We do not allow users who have been convicted of crimes against children to have an account on our platform.”

Vanlith’s videos were subsequently stitched by people who were shocked that an incarcerated person could appear in a TikTok video or disgusted that a convicted sex offender could go viral.

Writing to the Idaho Statesman (via paid emails sent through JPay), Vanlith said the videos were an attempt to get new pen pals in order to pass the time behind bars, but she declined to say who had helped her set up an account. “I made BIG mistakes in the past, but that doesn’t define who I am,” Vanlith told the Statesman. “I’ve learned and grown a lot in the last five years. I take responsibility for what I’ve done. The past doesn’t define me, and I’ve started a new chapter of my life.”

While it was somewhat unique for Vanlith to have an account set up for her while she was incarcerated, it’s not uncommon for videos to be shared on TikTok featuring incarcerated people asking for pen pals. In fact, there are multiple accounts that are wholly dedicated to sharing JPay videos from people in prison, essentially serving as the 2022 social media version of websites that have been around much longer. “This is a page strictly to post content regarding men behind bars who need love!” reads the description for the account @inmatesneedlove.

JPay has been around since 2001, according to its website, and charges both people in prison and their loved ones in order to communicate with one another. By using a prisoner’s ID number, people can send money or email them, while incarcerated people can share short “videograms” through JPay kiosks located inside the jails. People in prison can even purchase JPay tablets that don’t offer full internet access but on which they can pay to download games or music.

Fees vary, but at the South Idaho Correctional Institution, it costs two “stamps” to send or receive a videogram like the one Vanlith sent, with five stamps available for purchase for $2. That may not sound like much, but remember, even incarcerated people who are able to work while behind bars are paid very little.

Jesse Crosson, who served 19 years for robbery and shooting two people and now answers questions about prison life on his TikTok account @second_chancer, has railed against JPay in multiple videos. In one video entitled “Prison Profiteering,” Crosson said he and his family each spent more than $20 a month on JPay email stamps — a huge fraction of the $54 per month he was earning in his prison job. His middle-class family could help support him, but not everyone is so lucky. “The problem is someone is profiting off every phone call, every email, and every bar of soap sold, and that is disproportionately affecting those who have the least,” Cronson said.

“[JPay] are just a small piece of the multibillion-dollar prison industrial complex in this country,” Crosson said in another video.

In a statement to BuzzFeed News, a spokesperson for Aventiv Technologies, the parent company for JPay, defended its tablets as being “absolutely fundamental” to keeping incarcerated people connected with families and “empowering rehabilitative justice every time they access free educational materials and reentry content.”

The spokesperson added:

Let’s be clear: The incarcerated cannot use TikTok, let alone access the internet or reach social media channels. While we work with the Department of Corrections to monitor secure messages, JPay does not own the content sent and received. Obviously, Family and Friends who receive content may on occasion post content from an incarcerated loved one onto social media channels. The incarcerated individual has no access to that post on social media, nor can they be contacted through social media. The DOC has sole discretion to enact disciplinary actions or suspend customer usage if they feel communication services are being abused.

Vanlith told the Statesman that she’s received more than 500 new contacts since her videos blew up, but Idaho Department of Correction spokesperson Jeff Ray told the newspaper that people should think twice about becoming a prison pen pal.

“While many pen pal–type relationships are well intended,” Ray said, “people who choose to engage in them — including those who are incarcerated — should be wary.”

MY OPINION : Well , yeah women do it too. Society and women just refuse to admit it .If this was a man with this type of a rap sheet .He’d be in prison for long, long time .He wouldn’t be eligible for parole until 2080. And this is just one of many stories out there .That get little too no coverage in the mainstream media .Because women get a free pass when they do wrong . NYC women attacked fast food employees over dipping sauce fee in viral video: police.

Women trash NYC restaurant, assault employees

Pearl Ozoria, 27, Chitara Plasencia, 25, and Tatiyanna Johnson, 23, caused hundreds of dollars in damages to the Bel Fries.

A viral video shows three customers trashing a New York City restaurant and injuring two employees over a $1.75 fee for extra sauce.

The incident occurred at Bel Fries, a late-night hotspot, in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Pearl Ozoria, 27, Chitara Plasencia, 25, and Tatiyanna Johnson, 23, allegedly caused hundreds of dollars in damages to the restaurant, forcing it to close for repairs since the incident happened at 4 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to the Bel Fries Instagram.

The three individuals removed approximately $10 from the cash register before unleashing a tirade on the employees, according to a statement from the NYPD.

The women destroyed the plastic partition, jumped over the counter and continued to throw objects from a closer range while the employees backed up to maintain distance.

Ozoria, Plasencia and Johnson were arrested on robbery and criminal mischief charges.

Ozoria allegedly punched an officer in the face while being apprehended and is facing additional charges of assault to a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct. 

Plasencia and Johnson were also charged for criminal possession of a weapon. 

A 33-year-old female and a 38-year-old male sustained injuries to their heads.

Bel Fries has not commented on when they will be reopening. 

My Opinion : This is the state of our society, out of control animals .This is unbelievable, this is shameful .Crazy , selfish , females and it is only going to continue to get worse . Because society never holds them accountable for their actions . They probably will just get a slap on the wrist .Who knows even the one who assaulted the officer .The restaurant owner should sue them all of them for damages .
