Despite high profile guests, Jen Psaki is unable to garner ratings. Maybe she should have kept her day job.
We are left to wonder how long MSNBC will allow Jen Psaki to tumble in the ratings before they pull the plug on her ratings starved show.

Engagement ring sales fall sharply – blame COVID, jewelry giant says.
Engagement ring sales have fallen, and like many other things in life, you can blame COVID-19 for that, too.
Pandemic lockdowns prompted the end of many early relationships and a dramatic decline in dating overall, which resulted in a plummet in the sales of engagement rings, according to Signet Jewelers, the parent company of brands like Zales, Jared, Kay Jewelers and James Allen.
“This led to the engagement gap that we’re still seeing today,” Jamie Singleton, Signet Jewelers’ group president and chief consumer officer, said last week during the company’s investor day.
On average, couples get engaged roughly 3.25 years after they begin dating, Singleton said, citing the company’s recent study of couples to try and predict future trends.
But Signet said dating is now up 8% compared to pre-COVID levels, and it expects to see some recovery in its engagement ring sales in the future.
“Engagement jewelry sales were lackluster in fiscal 2023, and we expect them to remain so for the balance of fiscal 2024,” Singleton added. “But we’re confident in the return that’s coming.”

David’s Bridal looks to sell company, stays mum about possible layoffs.
Wedding retailer David’s Bridal is eyeing a possible sale of the company but remains tight-lipped on possible layoffs despite reports stating otherwise.
“We are evaluating our strategic options and a sale process is underway,” the company said in a statement to FOX Television Stations. “At this time, there are no updates to share, and all stores are open to serve customers. Providing excellent service remains our focus, and we are committed to serving and delivering for our brides and customers and being part of magical moments.”
But a sale could leave thousands of employees jobless.
What Chapter 11 bankruptcy means
Filing for bankruptcy doesn’t always mean the end for an American business.
According to KDVR, the company hinted at layoffs in a notice to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. The news outlet said a similar notice was filed in Pennsylvania.
“At this time, it is uncertain whether the Company will be ceasing operations entirely or the closure will be limited to certain locations,” the company said in the notice as reported by KDVR.
In 2018, David’s Bridal filed for bankruptcy protection.
Like many retailers, David’s Bridal has seen sales decline amid shifting consumer tastes and tough competition from e-commerce retailers. Traditional wedding vendors have been under pressure as millennials get married later in life or choose not to do so.

An Illinois state senator defended the Chicago “Teen Takeover” that unfolded Saturday night and left multiple boys shot, claiming it was simply “a mass protest against poverty and segregation.”
Robert Peters, who represents parts of Chicago, responded to the chaotic scene that saw hundreds of local youth smashing car windows, jumping on surrounding vehicles, and firing guns in the streets.
Rather than condemn the chaos that left tourists running in fear, Peters suggested it was a “mass protest.”
“Since I’m a glutton for punishment and I’m sure I’m gonna get the most unhinged, crime weirdo replies but: I would look at the behavior of young people as a political act and statement,” Peters wrote in a Twitter post Sunday. “It’s a mass protest against poverty and segregation. Rest in peace to my mentions.”
According to Fox 32, a man was taken to the hospital after being beaten by a group of teenagers after they jumped on and smashed his windshield while he and his wife sat inside.
WLS reported a 6-year-old boy being shot in the arm, and two teenage boys, ages 16 and 17, were also shot in the crowd, according Fox 32 Chicago.

Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson, the progressive who will succeed Lori Lightfoot, claimed that while he condemns the riot, “it is not constructive to demonize youth.”
“In no way do I condone the destructive activity we saw in the Loop and lakefront this weekend. It is unacceptable and has no place in our city. However, it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities,” Johnson said in a statement after the incident.

CHICAGO — Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot lost her bid for re-election Tuesday, ending her historic run as the city’s first Black woman and first openly gay person to serve in the position.
Lightfoot, a Democrat, failed to get enough votes in the nine-person race to move on to an April 4 runoff election, according to projections by The Associated Press.
Paul Vallas, a former CEO of Chicago schools, will face Brandon Johnson, a Cook County commissioner endorsed by the Chicago Teachers Union.
Ideologically, the choice between Vallas and Johnson is stark. Vallas ran as a moderate law-and-order candidate, while Johnson ran on an unabashedly progressive agenda.
But Chicagoans sent a message that they wanted change, rejecting both an incumbent mayor and a sitting congressman. Lightfoot is the first incumbent elected Chicago mayor to lose re-election since 1983, when Jane Byrne, the city’s first female mayor, lost her primary.
Lightfoot conceded defeat Tuesday night at her party in downtown Chicago, saying, “Obviously we didn’t win the election today, but I stand here with my head held high.”

Lightfoot has been dogged by persistent crime, which has been a top concern among Chicagoans. Crime spiked during her term, though she has repeatedly touted that it dropped year-over-year in 2022.
Vallas was widely expected to emerge from the first round of voting, having built his campaign around a tough-on-crime theme and garnering support in the vote-rich northern and northwestern sides of the city. He also got the backing of the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police.
“We will have a safe Chicago. We will make Chicago the safest city in America,” he said Tuesday night.
It’s a bitter end to a tumultuous tenure for Lightfoot, who quickly developed an image as a national lightning rod for conservatives and repeatedly clashed with institutional interests, from the Chicago Teachers Union to the media to the police rank and file. She was at times lauded for her handling of the pandemic but saw violent riots in the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis.
Lightfoot faced long odds and was in danger of an early re-election knockout. Having lost the support she once held along Chicago’s lakeshore neighborhoods and with major labor unions working against her, she was among seven Black candidates competing for votes among the city’s Black population. She faced stiff competition, particularly from Johnson, who had the backing and organizational benefits of the powerful Chicago Teachers Union, as well as Willie Wilson, a Black entrepreneur who had been polling ahead of Johnson.

Lightfoot’s unfavorable ratings have soared with Chicagoans fed up with gun violence, as well as carjackings and robberies. And despite being the sitting mayor, she routinely failed to lead in recent polling, falling behind Vallas and Democratic Rep. Jesús “Chuy” Garcia. Later in the election, she took specific aim at Johnson, which many saw as a sign that her internal numbers showed him as a growing threat.
On the issue of crime, under Lightfoot, Chicago in 2021 recorded the most killings in a quarter-century, 797, and more than 3,500 shootings — which was 1,400 more than were recorded in 2019, when Lightfoot first took office. Lightfoot has made a point of noting that violence had eased by the end of last year.
But that hasn’t eased anxieties among Chicagoans. A recent poll said 63% of Chicagoans said they didn’t feel safe.

Bidens take out $250K loan on Rehoboth home as feds, House probe Joe and Hunter; docs scandal intensifies.

The FBI searched President Biden’s Rehoboth, Del. beach house this week, but did not find classified documents.
President Biden and first lady Jill Biden took out a $250,000 line of credit against their home in the Delaware beach town of Rehoboth – as federal investigators probe both the president and his son, Hunter, a new report reveals.
The Bidens secured the loan – which allows them to borrow the quarter of a million dollars against the home’s equity – on Dec. 5, according to county records reviewed by Fox News.
It’s unclear from any paperwork why the couple took out the line of credit on the home, reportedly purchased in 2017 for nearly $3 million. The White House did not respond to a request for comment from The Post.
But the mortgage documents were filed about a month after Biden’s personal lawyers found classified documents at his Washington think tank, the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.
On Wednesday, the FBI searched the Bidens’ Rehoboth home as part of a special counsel probe into his handling of documents, but did not find any classified material.
The White House has said the president is fully cooperating with authorities.
Hunter Biden, meanwhile, is under investigation for a number of alleged crimes, including tax evasion and making a false statement.
And the House Oversight Committee will commence hearings next week on Hunter Biden’s alleged influence peddling, and claims he cashed in on ties to his then-vice president father to rake in millions from foreign companies — much of the evidence coming fromThe Post’s expose of a laptop he abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in 2019.
In recent weeks, Hunter’s allies have talked about creating a legal defense fund to pay his growing legal team.
Hunter reportedly has no steady stream of income and his once-lucrative overseas business contracts evaporated given harsh scrutiny of his professional life. But he has been selling pieces of his post-drug addiction passion, creating artwork, at high-end galleries in Manhattan and elsewhere, reportedly for six-figure sums.
On Wednesday, Hunter’s attorneys requested the Justice Department investigate Donald Trump allies, including Rudy Giuliani, who passed out information from his personal laptop.

Brittney Griner’s Homecoming Party in Waco Has Surprisingly Low Turnout: REPORT.

Brittney Griner’s homecoming party at a church in Waco, Texas didn’t get quite the turnout many expected. According to a report from ESPN, around 20 people showed up to welcome the WNBA star home from her detainment in Russia.
Per the report, the crowd was sparse at University Baptist Church, located within two miles of Baylor’s campus. The story indicated that part of the reason why the turnout wasn’t much bigger was because the school was on winter break.
Russia and the United States agreed to a prisoner exchange earlier this month. Russian authorities freed Griner in exchange for the U.S.’s release of arms dealer Viktor Bout.
Griner was detained in Russia for 10 months prior to her release. She was found guilty on drug-related charges by a Russian court and faced a nine-year prison sentence.
“After months of being unjustly detained in Russia, held under intolerable circumstances, Brittney will soon be back in the arms of her loved ones,” Biden said. “She should’ve been there all along.”

After spending 10 months in a Russian prison, you would understand if Brittney Griner didn’t focus much on basketball. That’s far from the case, though.
The WNBA star said she intends to get back on the court … and soon. She released a statement on her plans as it pertains to playing the sport she loves.

MSNBC FIRES TIFFANY CROSS AFTER YEARS OF CALLING WHITE PEOPLE RACIST .
MSNBC fired weekend host Tiffany Cross . “There has been speculation that Cross’ relationship with MSNBC was becoming frayed, according to two of these people, with executives at the network growing concerned about the anchor’s willingness to address statements made by cable-news hosts on other networks and indulging in commentary executives felt did not meet the standards of MSNBC or NBC News,” Variety reported.
If the name Tiffany Cross sound familiar, the wacky weekend lady often goes viral for proclaiming the entire white race bigoted, evil, and even dangerous. She stokes hate by trade. Her abhorrence for white people exceeds even Jemele Hill’s.
The network elevated Cross two years ago to carry on Joy Reid’s stick on Saturdays. Somehow, Cross had even less success calling people racist than Reid. “Cross Connection” often averaged only 600,000 viewers a week.
Recently, Cross declared a concussion suffered by Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa as proof that “white coaches” are racist against “black players.” Cross claimed that Tagovailoa’s white coach allowed him back on the field to suffer a second concussion because the coach disregarded “black bodies.”
This, of course, was quite the statement for two reasons. 1) Tua Tagovailoa is not black. He’s Samoan. 2) His coach, Mike McDaniel, is not white. He’s biracial.
OutKick gave MSNBC a chance to respond or correct Cross’ failed race-bait. Unfortunately, the network refused.

As we said at the time, “viewers do not expect intelligent dialogue from MSNBC — they turn to the network for faux outrage and updates on the hierarchy of victimhood. However, misreporting the skin colors of two subjects in one segment as means to declare white supremacy is a questionable tactic even for MSNBC.”
The original promotion of Tiff Cross embodied the issue of building a program around a one-trick race hustler. See, there are such limited examples of day-to-day white supremacy. Thereby schmucks like Cross either have to exaggerate, fabricate proof, or pretend story subjects are of different skin colors than they are.
The demand for racism outstrips the supply, increasing the supply of imaginary racism. Especially in the corporate media, an industry with obvious indifference to the truth.
MSNBC showed a backbone unbeknownst to the industry by hooking Tiff Cross. Certainly, Cross and fellow blue-checks will respond with fierce accusations of racism.
Is MSNBC less concerned with the anti-racists who are actually racists covering the media than CNN and ESPN are? Perhaps.
Megyn Kelly aptly called Cross the “most racist person on TV” in October. Fair. Well, Cross “was” the most racist person on TV. Not anymore. She’s no longer on TV.
MY OPINION: Tiffany Cross is in deed a racist . She is also a very , very stupid person. You’ve been given this great opportunity and this is what you do with it . Spread hate and bitterness , what did she think was going to happen doing that ? Listening to her she comes of as a very arrogant person . She thought she was more important than she really was , but MSNBC showed her . Good-bye and good riddance , hopefully Joy Reid is next ?
